Black sic for reaction sintered silicon carbide ceramic
Reaction sintered silicon carbide ceramics are a kind of crafts, which are pressed into green blanks by fine particles of α-SiC and additives, and then contacted with liquid silicon at high temperature. The carbon in the green blank reacts with the infiltrated Si to generate β-SiC, which is combined with α-SiC. The free silicon fills the pores, thus obtaining a highly dense ceramic material. It can be used in medium-concentration acid or alkali media.
